Behavior: QMHP-C met with JaCaeri and mother at his residence for family session focusing on negative behavior patterns, objective, and treatment plan goal, setting boundaries, anger management and control issues. QMHP-C assessed JaCaeri and his mother’s mood upon arriving to the home as mother reports when he cannot have his way he gets upset with her and his siblings throwing items with behaviors lasting up to 20 minutes in duration. 2. Behavior: JaCaeri was able to understand how his behaviors affect others within the home; however, he at times got mad with QMHP-C and screamed loudly with behaviors lasting about 10 minutes in duration. 1.Intervention: QMHP-C asked the mother to make a list of the negative behavior patterns displayed. QMHP-C reviewed the list and engaged them both in a discussion about the behaviors. QMHP-C discussed JaCaeri treatment goals and gained clarity on his process. QMHP-C reviewed with the mother JaCaeri treatment plan and boundaries. QMHP-C encouraged the mother to become more involved in JaCaeri treatment to work on his displaying positive behavior. 2. Intervention: QMHP-C discussed the meaning of control and how to deal with not having the ability to control his anger and behaviors. QMHP-C encouraged the mother to have family discussions to involve JaCaeri grandmother so they both can be on the same accord when disciplining JaCaeri. QMHP-C discussed with JaCaeri and the mother short- and long-term goals as well as boundary setting techniques. JaCaeri and his mother participated in the session. The mother was frustrated with JaCaeri for not listening to what was being said and talking back. The mother reported that she was tired of JaCaeri being disrespectful. 2.Response: The mother also reported that JaCaeri always must have the last word and he continues to defy her wishes. JaCaeri reported that he listens to what his mother has to say but he always yells at her for nothing. The mother expressed her frustration with JaCaeri and reported that she does not know what else needed to be done about his negative behavior.
